I looooooooove this weblog. It reminds me of what the weblog Rogi has was like, before he ruined it. Oh, how I miss the old version. *sniff* Oh, well. At least now I found a reasonable replacement.

"Best defense in order of what has worked for me. Call the police and management CONSTANTLY. Management hates getting reports from the police. Talk to your friendly neighbor about the noise... specifically, ask them where they intend to go if they are evicted... because if they keep up the noise, that's exactly what will happen. And lastly, if all else fails... make MORE noise than they produce. This works. I've done it twice now and both times the jack*ss's moved out! I recommend getting a piece of plywood and a rubber mallot from the hardware store. and ear plugs. Banging away at the plywood does two things... it relieves your stress and anxiety AND gives your noisy neighbor a healthy dose of what they have no problem dishing out. Believe me... nothing will make a person lose their sanity quicker than an obnoxious, randomly-timed, LOUD noise... beating on wood takes the cake. It penetrates their loud music, loud tv, arguing and most importantly their "down time" when it's quiet and you know they are trying to sleep. Don't let them. Be ruthless. You have to be. Passiveness will get you nothing but more noise and a smerk on the face of your enemy. Good luck!"

The plywood and rubber mallot method is something I have every intention of using on my own sleazy, low-life, sound polluting neighbors. Bastards!
